Current released versions

See the main Download Page. This installer contains all the programs. You do not have to install every program if you don't want to. You can change the language setting for any of the versions to any of the other languages: the different language installers are to save users having to do so, and having installers in their language.

The WebbIE Standalone or USB version does not require installation. It is a zip file containing all the files needed for WebbIE and the Accessible programs. Just download it and unzip it, then run any of the programs inside. You can also unzip the zip file to a USB memory stick so you can carry the programs from machine to machine. Note that programs that need other programs - like how Accessible BBC Listen Again needs RealPlayer - will still need the other program installed to work. Unzip the file onto the root of your USB memory stick, remove the stick and plug it back in. You can have it start up Windows Narrator on the machine when it is inserted: check the option in the startup program's Option menu.

Old versions

Latest versions of the Accessible programs (RSS, Podcatcher etc.) can all be obtained by installing the latest, current WebbIE 3 installer. I've discontinued separate installers because it is too difficult for me to manage the versions.

Development versions

These haven't made it into the WebbIE full release yet. You're very welcome to try them out and let me know if they work, or how they might be improved.

Accessible iTunes
Allows you to rip CDs to your computer, they label themselves, and you can then play them back. This is all done by iTunes, so you have to have it installed. You can Download iTunes from Apple. However, you can't use the iTunes Music Store, I'm afraid.
Accessible Podcaster
This is a program for creating - not listening to - podcasts. It will let you record yourself, convert to MP3 using LAME, then upload the files to your website.
eSpeakSAPI5Voices.msi Installer
This is an installer for the open-source eSpeak SAPI5 voices.
Google RSS and Podcast Search Installer
This is a program that was part of the WebbIE package from 2007-2008 (to version 3.6.9.) It lets you Google for podcasts and RSS feeds and add them to the feeds in RSS News Reader and Podcatcher. I removed it because, well, the search algorithm is lousy - it just searches for files of type X.M.L. and (for podcasts) with "Podcast" in the U.R.L., which isn't much good. However, some users requested its return, so here it is.
